Senior Pastor Makana Delovio, was born on the island of Kauai and moved to the Big Island at the age of two. He was raised in the Coffee lands in Captain Cook, Hawaii. At the age of 17, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served as an aviation technician for 5 years, where he met his future wife, Tammy. He left the Marine Corps and went moved his small but growing ohana to Dallas, Texas where he attended Christ for the Nations Bible college and earned his degree in Pastoral Ministry. He moved back to the Big Island in 2000, where his plans were to plant a local church, but life happened and for the next 15 years, he a finish carpenter, raising a family of 7 children and serving in the local church. In 2015 he became the pastor at New Hope Legacy.
Pastor Tammy Delovio, was born and raised in Enterprise, West Virginia. She joined the Marine Corps at the age of 21 and served with in the aviation airwing in the supply department as an aviation data processor for 8 years. She left the Marine Corps, to become a full time mom and attend Bible College with her husband, Makana at Christ for the Nations Bible College where she earned her degree in Pastoral Ministry. She has spent the last 20 years of her life being a full time, home school mom raising, their 7 children and running a small cleaning business. She now works in full time ministry with her husband, at New Hope Legacy.
